Building a Word
The building blocks of any language are its letters. Na'vi is no different. In the universe of Avatar, the Na'vi language is an exclusively spoken language, so the alphabet was developed by RDA Xenobiologists in order to help human scientists within the Avatar program learn the language in a familiar context.

Modifying Verbs
The fundamental way of modifying verbs is through infixes inserted into pre-determined positions within the verb word. They are divided into two categories by relevance to use.

Modifying Nouns
Affixes are are prefixed or suffixed (affixed) to a word in order to change the meaning. There are productive and non-productive affixes, ones that can be used to actively create new word forms, and ones that cannot.
